There are five major subdivisions of our twenty service teams. These categories are: Events, Outreach, Creative Touches, Monthly Services and Weekly Programs.
This service area is comprised of special events that occur throughout the year. They include Banquets, North Side's Birthday Celebration, Family Fun Night and Caroling at Christmas.
There are several ministries that make up the outreach service areas. Through these ministries we are given opportunities to reach out to women, new moms and dads and their babies, the elderly and the homebound. They also serve people in crisis, those with special needs, and the hospitalized.
In these service areas you are given the opportunity to use your creative abilities to enhance our musical dramas, banquets and special events. Women serving in the Creative Touches service areas assist with costume making and decorating.
These ministry teams provide services for our congregation that impact our church activities on a weekly basis. These services are scheduled on monthly rotations. Included in this category are teams that prepare communion, hostess our Sunday morning services, and keep our kitchen area clean and orderly.
Each Wednesday during the school year North Side hosts an evening meal prior to our Wednesday evening program. This meal is prepared and served by volunteers. These volunteers work on a rotation schedule. After each meal, a clean up crew is needed to ready the fellowship hall for an adult class. |
